Hello all!
I am looking for a place to install a couple of guages on my 2000 bolt! Has anyone
tried a pod? (on top of the dash like the Saleen Mustangs)
Any Ideas?????? Thanks!

I think some of these guys put some guages on the frame next to the door, above the left vent. Anywhere from aftermarket boost guages to fuel/air ratio guages.

to the people who mounted guages on the driver's side window pillar - how do you cover up the holes from the handle in the pillar?
i believe the handle is commonly called a "oh *****" handle.
if i were to put one or two pods up there, it wouldnt cover both holes in the plastic trim piece..

Hey Brooks, Sal here. Get a trim piece for a 99, they don't have the handle on the drivers side, only the pass side.

Hey clonetek, the 99's don't have that problem. They do not have a handle. Something new for '00.

thanks guys... i want to put a couple of pods up there.. what kinds of guages do they offer? (boost, a/f ratio, voltmeter, water temp) hmm, how about one that measures how much water you are burning in the engine? ha!
(i'm in louisiana, at 5am its like 75 degrees @ 100% humidity. LOL)

i just dont know why the driver needs a handle to hang on to.. prolly involved in the kinky sex that comes standard with a badass truck. (read- i'm a redneck)

has anyone put guages in a cowl hood yet?
you know, next to the window?
or is that out of style? (i gotta get out more often & buy some magazines)

i am thinking of getting the triple guage pod (or double pod), phantom boost, voltmeter, and something else. all in the 2 5/8" flavor.. any ideas on what to get for the third hole?
i wonder if the triple pod or double pod will cover up the holes in the trim piece from the oh ***** handle?

I was just thinking, you need to get rid of those holes, and I would perhaps like to have an extra oh ***** handle, if it is easy to take apart, and drive okay for a few days, what do you say, a trim peice for a trim peice? They ought to fit.

Tundra: There are 2 nuts welded to the A-pillar that the handle bolts to on the '00. You would have to do this modification on yours I'm sure.

Why in the hell install an OH SH&T handle on the drivers side when it alerady has a round one right in front of you....THE FRIGGIN STEERING WHEEL....? That is the ONLY thing I want to be a-holdin-onta when things delve to the "OH SH$T level."

The driver's side ***** Handle is to knock the heater off your cigarette when you try to flick it out the window. That way you have to buy new floormats and seats. Can't say I've burned anything yet, but sure have scuffed across it once or twice. I'd rather sacrifice my jeans, however. Also cranked my head off it a couple of times. That looks pretty cool. Feels good too. (I'm 6'4")

Dumbest idea I've seen in a long time!!
