Talking Street Nite at Ennis 6/16 - Friday

We got rained out last week. Lets try it again this Friday. Should have a good turnout. Sixpipes, Autothrottle, Moonshine and a couple Porsches from work have all talked about showing up.

I figure I should be able to beat the Boxster S - But what about the Carerra Cabriolet ? Car and Driver has it rated at 13.5 seconds..... Do you think Gears and Chip will keep me competitive ?

There was talk about some R/T's showing up as well. Hope they can make it this week.

Hope to see lots of folks there !!!

Doug

I am also canceling for this weekend.
Well I talked to Sal yesterday. I ordered his chip. I could'nt take it any longer.
He said that he had just wrapped up the filter kit that I ordered in mid march and he would sent the chip with it.
Watch out here comes that

Doug -

Looks like maybe humble pie is on the menu tomorrow night. I'll be chipless unless UPS delivers my tweaked Superchip tomorrow. I guess what goes around comes around, right?

Weather says 20% chance of showers. They will be coming in evening from the North. So being 45 miles south of Dallas will help.

After I use my Superchip to beat a couple Porsches - You can borrow it if you have a "need" - A Need for speed. It is the generic 2000 Lightning program.... Should work in a 99 shouldnt it ?

Sal has a quote from you on his web site... Where is his chip ??

I will likely be leaving from LBJ and Luna in a Caravan of Porsches and spectators around 5-5:30 if you want to join up ...

Surprised no one has posted on my chances of beating a Carerra !!

Hey doug,
What time are yall meeting for the caravan? We might meet yall there or something. Do you still need me to take pictures? I will be free all night. I was gonna take the stang, but last night mom came home with a new eddie bauer explorer and no stang so i'll be in the seats most of the night.

Bro

I would love to have you take some pictures. Thanks. I work at LBJ and Luna and I am going to try to round everyone up to leave together. Debating on when, since traffic down 35 at that time will Suck. Thinking about leaving around 5:30. Bring the Explorer - Is it broke in yet ??

Texas Motor Plex Friday Night Street Night http://www.texasmotorplex.com/fridaynights.html
Gates open 6:00 each Friday ( Most Fridays )
Time Trials 7:00 to midnight
Directions: ( Italics from Motorplex Site )
Interstate-35 to Ennis from Dallas
Exit #403, which will be Hwy 287, there is a green highway sign that says ‘Texas Motorplex next exit’
Take the service road past the Ford dealership and over the bridge
Take the next right, which is marked Hwy 287 South - Corsicana
We are on 287 South approximately 10 miles from Interstate-35
You can’t Miss the Motorplex on the left - you will Want Gate 10 the First Gate - It is the Pit Entrance. There is a left turn lane off 287 into Pit Gate.

At the gate it is $10 to watch and $15 to race. ( Even though the web site says Racer Entry- $20 Student racer - $17 w/student ID Spectator/Crew Adult - $10 Student w/ ID$7)

You need a helmet if you run into the 13's. I ran a couple 13.9's and was never hassled but I have one now just in case
