Question Overhead Console Retro for the 99

Help! Went by the Ford shop today and talked with my buddy the service manager. He said to ask you guys if there was a GEM (General electronic module...for the outside air temp sensor) under the hood or did you have to install one. did you have to replace the ambient temp sensor? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I don't think there is a temp sensor, and you are gonna need some new visors, as these are too wide for the consol to fit between these ones. I have also heard about some holes that might have to be drilled, but I am unsure about that. Good luck.

There is an outside temperature sensor that is located at the front of the truck just behind the grill. There may be a harness already there that is taped up so that you can plug in the sensor...but unsure about it. I remember some of the guys on here that were attempting the install.

You may want to attempt a search through the old posts. I remember this being discussed some time back, but I don't remember the outcome.
