Post Raced a 99 C5 Vette today

Here is the story, I have a friend that bought a new 99 C5 Vette about year ago. We have been talking about racing since I purchased my BOLT but then the unexpected my bolt was stolen & wrecked and in the shop for 4 months. So today we were out eating him in his vette and me in my rebuilt Bolt. After eating a good square meal we decided to line these beasts up at a light well guess what I look in the rearview mirror before we even get a chance to go and there is a cop directly behind his Vette, I was pissed so we take off nice and slow, the cop is right on his butt like she is running a tag on the Vette, after about 7 miles finally she turns off and the race is about to begin. Perfect the light turns red so we are stopped and even steven on the line. All I see in front of me is a Ford Explorer but he is a good distance in front of me so I'm not worried too much. Then the light turns green, I immediatly pull about a car length in front, he stays about a full length behind until the 2-3 shift then he pulls up but I'm still ahead by 1/2 length but that damn explorer is right in front of me, I had to shut her down quickly, my other friend that was in the Bolt with me thought for sure we were gonners.
The C5 friend also seen what was happening so he shut the vette down, very close race but I had him up to a quarter of mile and don't have any idea at what speed he was going to overtake me at??? But I'm sure we were approaching it real soon if the race went on any longer. It sure feels great to have whooped *** on a new vette. I have raced some older vettes and never had challenge from light to light but this was indeed a close race. I still had him by 1/4 to 1/2 car length when we shut them down. I had a perfect launch and was running the new BST program with the Superchip (thanks Mike Troyer) this new program is the best in my book. I also have about 345 miles on this tank of gas, with about a 1/4 tank left that is the best mileage I ever recorded but I had been driving fairly easy until the race.

Later,
Terry

Is the BST program on the other side of the TRAC program?
