You would be surprised at how many roush engeneers work for SVT, and especialy on the Lightning team. Im sure Roush will produce somthing simular to the L, hey it may even be better.

I talked a lot with the Roush people back in the 4th quarter of 1998, trying to decide what to do about placing an order for the Lightning, or building my own version using Roush "kits". One of the sales guys finally told me he recently saw the Lightning prototype running in Atlanta and that it was blowing everything off the track!! It also cost about 10 grand less than building one yourself using Roush kits and adding a supercharger (which voids the factory warranty) Thats when it became clear I needed to order the Lightning and be patient. It was ordered in Nov 98 and received June 99. Roush can't touch this!

Roush has a new address for the F150:

There was some discussion last year on the Roush F150 vs. the Lightning, but I haven't found it in a search. Anyway, the general feeling was that the Roush version cost a LOT more to make it equal(?) to a lightning. Then you need to look at:

if you want to spend some money.

I was down at Road Atlanta back in the fall of 98 for Roush Racings Ride and drive. Jack had a Lightning prototype there that dynoed 500 HP. Awsome truck, BTW it was Black! I wish I had gotten a photo of it, but I didn't have a chance.

You can get a Roush loaded just like the Lightning for about a grand more-sometimes less. The ones I've seen use a vortech supercharger and ARE covered by the factory warranty. Search for Mumbly, he has a supercab Roush with a Roush installed supercharger (more like the Lightning type, not a vortech).I believe he has about $33 grand in his??
