Thumbs up My safety feature for the I/C

I've heard and seen what can happen when the I/C takes a dump and someone goes WOT without knowing this. I actually saw a built engine that blew up because the I/C quit working and severe detonation happened. I purchased a kit on EBay a while ago that allowed me to turn the I/C on while the engine was off. This kit is great and comes with an LED light that lets you know when the I/C is running. The only problem is that it was designed to be mounted under the hood on the passenger side corner of the firewall. I figured out that the light will come on when the I/C kicks on, even if you haven't turned on the switch. So I got the idea to run this switch inside the cab and mount it somewhere where I could see the light and ensure the I/C was running before I go WOT. I also decided to run my EFan switch inside so I could turn the EFan on right after I go through the traps instead of having to wait until I get to the pits, turn the truck off, and pop the hood. I really like this because it give me the control of my I/C and EFan from inside the cab. Here is a pic of how I mounted the switches and LED...

The only issue I have with this set-up is that I accidentally purchased an LED that flashes on and off. It's really annoying. I'm gonna go to the auto parts store and buy one that stays on tomorrow and that will fix that.

For those without a switch, an improvement on the design would be a reversing relay where the light only goes on if the pump is off, i.e., an idiot light.

Someone should design and market the kit. Would be a cheap kit with huge profit margins for the seller.

The only thing that you are verifying is that power is to the pump you will have no idea if the pump it's self failed. I would much rather go with an intake air charge temperature gauge or warning light.
