Question Bell Tech kit from the online store

Has anyone purchased the $339 lowering kit from the store on this site? Your comments, recommendations, suggestions are wanted. I realize that this has been covered on other threads, but I'm looking for some fresh info, specifically relating to this particular kit. Plus, which size, difficulty of installation, etc.
Thanks in advance, Steve

I ordered the 3/4 belltech drop from the store here. It got here in about a week no problems what so ever. I have yet to install it. It consists of springs, shackles, and rear hangers(?) also has all hardware and shims. As far as I can tell the directions only show the emergency brake bracket being cut. It looks like something that can be done in a driveway. A couple of jack stands and some common tools and you are done.

Cool

Lowered my F-150 with shackles and hangers and the rear is a bitch to get the hangers off. It can be done easily in a day though if you have the right tools. I would definitly suggest you have air tools though and someone to help. I prepdrilled the rivits then air-chiseled the heads of the rivets off. then took a power snader with a really rough disk to grind down to the hangers. (There are 4 rivets on each rear hanger) After this I still had to beat the hangers off the remainder of the rivets to seperate from the frame. Then air-chisel and grind the rivets down to the frame. Here is where an additional person comes in handy. Someone need to hold a punch with vise grips on the rivets while the other person uses a large hammre or small, short handled sledge hammer to strike the punch to get the rivets out of the frame. Unfortunately there is not a lot of swinging room under there so you have to use short swings. After that, the hard part is over. I used the western-chassis kit which is very simmilar to the bell tech kit.

The front was simple, only about 30 minutes per side. Just jack up by the lower A-arm, remove the brake caliper, shocks, and tie rod end, take the upper A-arm bolts lose, release pressure on the jack to get the coil spring out, (make sure you use jack stands under the frame) put new coil in and put back together. You should replace the upper A-arm bolts with the cam bolds (looks like circular washers with offset hole on the bolts) if your truck does not already have them. There is not very much alignment room if the truck has the square washers, and the alighment shop will have to add these so you might as well save some money and do it while you have it apart.

OOPS, forgot to mention that you should replace the shocks with shorter ones also.

Chris, What shocks did you use? I lowered mine without them but after driving it for a few weeks I think I need to replace the stockers, there is just not enough travel especially in back.
