Talking Check out THIS Lightning >>

Went to Ford Racing Fan Appreciation Day at Fairlane Town Center in Dearborn, Michigan yesterday. They has Dale Jarrett and others to sign auto's and even had all of the race cars there too. But, the reason I went is to check out all the F150's. They had the Harley Davidson, NASCAR, and two concepts there. Since I had my digital camera with me, I took some shots. The one I'm posting here is of a Black L with a Cobra IRS (YES IRS) suspension. the company that fabbed it up is not a Ford supplier, per say; the guy said they work with Ford in hopes of getting projects and contracts for work. I have other pics if anyone wants to request them. This is my first attempt at posting pics...hope it works

How do you post images? Oh well. I guess you can just cut-and-paste the links.

Cool

Looks like an incorrect link address. I'm not getting anything to come up at that location.

Those wheels are disgusting in my opinion! ick!!!

Scale them down a bit so we don't have to scroll across the screen.

Sixpipes and Doug's both look better than that thing. Those wills need to go. It'd look better with the regular lightning wheels on it.

BadBolt -

Do those mirrors look as goofy in person as they do in the picture? It looks like an insect antenna.

Those wheels suck!! But the independent rear suspension is pretty cool.

I'm still deciding on the mirrors on whether I like them or not. I do, however think it's a pretty good attempt at it. What was cool about those mirrors is the front of them had about 15 LED'S that illuminate when turning. I think I have a front pic of the mirrors. Let me check and will post.

Well....you see, there is an instance of someone fooling around with something that doesn't need to be fixed. The IRS is great but those wheels and the "highly" functional mirrors have got to go!

The IRS would be cool, as long as the shafts hold up. NOTICE the dual muffler setup. Can anyone tell what man. that these are? Also, it looks like they are using a roll-and-lock bedcover.

I read an article about a month ago in Fast Fords about Cobra owners swapping out the IRS for the soild axle from a GT. Reason for the swap was the Cobras were prone to snapping the CV joints in the rear. ( If they Were Hopped up ) The Difference in Strength outweighed the handling difference in their minds.
