Thumbs up SWANSON vs SUPERCHIP PLEASE READ

I have a 2000 and last week I installed a superchip and it worked great. But today I went down to SWANSON PERFORMANCE and met Danny in person. He made me a chip for my L
and put it in and said go for a drive and come back and tell me what you think???
"HOLLY SH*T" Guy's I can't even to begin where to tell you how much better this chip is vs the superchip. I mean SEAT OF THE PANTS!! Trust me if you bought a superchip sell it mine is for sale. Now for Danny's theory on the PRO-M 80mm mass air well I tested it back to back on my G-TECH and got a tenth from it. And I had a AIRAID on before. And as far as the G-TECH testing for Danny's chip well before it would not spin and I could get 5.40 0-60 now with Danny's chip and PRO-M 5.18 was the best 0-60 but now I have to lift twice on the launch because it want's to spin so much

Cool

hi everyone,
fyi, i've added a little section to danny swanson's webpage regarding his own '00 lightning. there's a dyno printout that really shows how much his chip and pro-m MAF can contribute to the rear wheels. i was present at the dyno when he got these numbers, and all i can say is WOW! i've never seen a stock vehicle respond to tuning like that. i also never knew the blower can get that loud near redline...hehehe (i never heard a peep outta my own '90 tbird sc with a similar blower). btw, danny hasn't had the chance to review the section, so any misprints or mistakes are MY OWN, not his. anyways, enjoy...

Being new to the scene, I just need to know, what happens if you just put the chip in? I cannot afford both the chip ($350) and the Proam 80 ($350).. Thats $700 according to the website that I just went to.. Am I missing something?? I already have to lift after a launch as she just goes up in smoke.... My L only has about 900 miles on it and runs out very well, but I always want more.. Heck, I am already wondering how much tires are gunna be with the consistent $100 burn offs?? What about the $70 air cleaner I keep reading about? Please be patient with me as I have been reading the site for about a week now, and have been just absorbing info.. Thanks in advance.. "its all good"

Nice stuff on the web page. I noticed that an assumption of 25% drivetrain loss was used to point out that 375 rwhp looks like 500 hp at the crank. Math is ok but I'd recommend deleting the whole idea. Drivetrain losses are one of the most divisive and arguable issues around. One example of this is that it has been reported by SVT that Lightnings are close to 11% typical losses behind the flywheel; a sparkling number that is far, far away from 25%.

The dyno numbers on the other hand are fun to look at!
