Stupid excuses are almost as funny as stupid people. I left as if they were standing still, 2 guys in a black E430 Mercedes, all lowered and spoilered. At the next light they wanted to know what this truck was, where I got it and how much.

Can they not read, or do they not follow any car magazines ?

Nice run!

He's not kidding about the traction control issue, but he should not have had it on while racing (he should know better than that). I have a 96 Corvette w/ASR (anti slip regulation), I always turn it off when driving. If active and the tires start to break lose, it will apply the brakes, retard the timing severly and literally push the throttle back into my foot.

 

Well went down to Ft Myers this weekend. Cruising down the street this corvette pulls up next to me at the light. He revs his engine so we decide to go for it. I beat him to 60 by about a car length, i was suprise cus i know they are a bit quicker then our trucks. One kew thing was that his g/f was on the passenger seat. Well not bad for my first time racing, had my truck for 3 months now and had been waiting for that. My truck is stock as of now. Ohh yeah at the next light he was giving all this excuses about how he has traction control and it doesnt let him launch quicker. Dunno if its true or not but it sounds like BS to me.
