Question MTX Thunderform enclosure

Well, I searched....found nothing since 2004 that helped much - even tried emailing a few people that were referenced in the old posts, but to no avail. Looked in the classifieds and briefly on NLOC - still didnt see what I was looking for....

Does anyone know where I can pick up an UNloaded MTX Thunderform enclosure for a decent price? I already have subs, and dont really want to have to re-sell the ones that come with the box if I get it new.

Just asking - nobody's mentioned them in a while, I am just wondering if anyone out there has heard anything...

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Did you try e-Bay ??

I know this isn't cheap, but it does include free shipping:

I found one in the classifieds right here on F150online...

Good luck !!

I ended up buying a loaded one, and just tossing the MTX subs. Might be a better option for a few pennies more, rather than waiting.

Do the seats go all the way back with the MTX enclosure?

I have the loaded box and love the fit. How much better/cleaner thump is out there if I dump the stock MTX's? I think they sound good but aren't as clean as I would like. (Sorry about the thread theft)

Well, thanks for the advice, guys...I finally just bit the bullet and got a loaded Thunderform - maybe I'll ebay the speakers or something.

Here is how the system is shaping up -

Pioneer DVD head unit
Pioneer 6 disc CD changer
(2) 6.5" monitors - in the sunvisors
Infinity speakers on all 4 corners
Audiobahn amp for the speakers
Infinity 350W RMS subs (2)
Audiobahn amp for the subs
Thunderform enclosure

This is getting to be a little more involved than I was expecting - especially with installing new carpet, suede, and Dynamat. Hope I can get it to sound as well as I think it should.

Thanks again for the advice!

Steve
