Rob,

Do you have any idea what brand of fuel filter you were running on your truck? Did you buy it at the dealership or automotive store or something like walmart?

Was it the lightning one or the larger navigator fuel filter?


The reason I'm asking is obvious... I DON"T want the same one.

 

i thought that was eliminated from the potential problems. the filter media is yellow, whereas the stuff that colgged his solenoid was white

come on Aaron, thats not nice... Rob is a great guy and a good friend.. no need to bust on him.. that last thread everyone got there shots in and were kinda hard on him.. we should wish Rob good luck with his new toy.. lots of our Lightning brothers and sisters moved on to Vettes and such but nobody criticized them.. lets be cool on Rob and wish him the best...

 

I know, I know.....but he burned a lot of bridges here. I like Rob too, and did my share of sticking up for him. But sometimes he just doesn't think what he's doing. Does he think getting into a WK is going to save him money????
For the record, I was also a little pissed when we all donated money to superfords to get his truck up and running then he turned around and sold it!

 

On buying the SRT-8 good luck Rob. I know of one other person who bought it and he is satisfied. Overall nice vehicle and sleeper. The hard knocks that you have recieved on these threads is sad, especially from so called friends.(with friends like that who needs enemies)

I have spoke to Rob 2X on the phone and he is "good people" but maybe not mistake free. It would be ashamed to let him shy away from this site because of small differences!

BTW- I know for a fact. Since I watched him change the filter at my house , that it was just a replacement for what he had. cannot remember if it was OEM brand or not but I do know it was the same size.
