Ok i have never been to a track before to race i have done some street racing so can some one fill me on on how to race a stock L at the track. Any help or pointers will be much appreciated.

There are a couple good posts from more expereinced racers than me. Look for Posts from wa_2_fst, I know he did one recently.

What I do is turn off A/C and Overdrive, drive around the water box, Spin tires once to clean the trash off and if possible you are lucky enough to run behind a 8-10 sec car try to run in thier tracks. Roll towards the cone which usually maks the staging lights. As soon as I light prestage I CAREFULLY roll forward as little as possible till stage lights come on.

There is a half second between each of the the large yellows and the R/T is the time between the last yellow and when your tires leave the stage beams. 0.500 is a perfect light which makes sense since there is a half second between the last yellow and the green.

So when I see the second yellow I move my right foot from brake to gas, and I can get R/T's in .600's or less most of the time.

Since I didnt have a clue the first time, I ran I kept my foot in it till I saw 105 on the speedo. (I knew the L should run 97-100 in the 1/4)

Then if you are in outside lane WAIT for the other car to exit the track ( Dont turn in front of him no matter how bad you beat him )

Pick up your time slip and get ready to say
" Thanks "
" Its is a supercharged 5.4"
" Yes, It comes this way from Ford "

Had 87 Turbo Coupe traded for

Have Sals Chip and Filter and 3.73 gears on order, cant wait.

Thanks for the advice i will try not to run anyone over =p. I am quessing i redlight or cut a super bad r/t heh. Well i am going to try to get there hopefully it will happen =).
