Thumbs up

The National D-Day Museum opens today here in New Orleans. you can purchase a floor brick with the names/rank/campaign of your WWII relatives in rememberance of them. i think is only $5/brick, kind of like the "Wall" in DC. it honors all that fought, living and deceased. my wife and i bought bricks for both our fathers 2years ago when the project was announced, and plan to see them later this week when the "celebs" clear out.

Thank you Dad and all my family that died and
suffered in the Pacific theatre of WWII.
Thank you Uncle John for your strength during
the invasion of Enchon and the 30 years of nightmares and cries you suffered.
Thank you Uncle Gordan. Your death during
D-Day is NEVER FORGOTTEN !
Thank you Lord God for an eternity for these ultimate sacrifices that all the BRAVE dead and living military souls have given......
And YES I am still bitter as hell about Vietnam.......

sxyscorpio: Though I served 20 years in the (mostly) peace time Navy, I never forget those who gave their lives for us to be free. Thanks for remembering
