I am from manchester England and have an 04 L in sonic blue.
I am asking is it possible for me to buy spare keys and fobs in america and the big question is can I program them myself?
Any help is greatfull

The fob's are easy to program, I have the instructions if you need them. To program the keyyou will need 2 existing keys that are already programmed and your manual should have the instructions.

just reading the replies and says that i need two keys to programe a new key, trouble is i only got one key and fob when i got the truck. Is it possible to do it with only one key?

rickgig, Turn key from OFF to Run 8 times within 10 seconds with the 8th time ending in Run. All doors will then lock then unlock to confirm programming mode. Press any button on the first remote transmitter. Doors locks will cycle to confirm programming. Press any button on the second transmitter(up to 4 transmitters total possible) Turn ignition to OFF Locksd will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.
NOTE: This paper lists it until 2000 but that is also when it was printed.

 

thanks for the advice on the fob I will try that when it arrives. The next task is programming a new key when that comes only thing is that I only got one key with the truck. Can I programe the new key with only one old key?
