Question Question about Expedition wheels and my 2K L >>

Will these wheels fit my L; I've heard that my 2K L studs are different. I'm wanting to get a set of wheels for winter use when towing my snowmobile trailor. Any help is appreciated.

I put Expedition wheels (with Bridgstone Winter Dualers) on last fall. You may be right though, 2000's may have gone to the 14mm studs. Call the Tire Rack (where I got mine). They will know and are a good place for tires and take-off wheels. I paid >$800 for 4 delivered and they worked great (as long as I used a light right foot).

Thumbs down

The xp wheels will not go on the light, as far as i know the xp wheel will need to be bored 2mm larger from 12 to 14mm. And get a larger stud face opening for the 00' L bolt to sit properly. FYI

Not sure what the difference in offsets, etc would be. I just recently bought a '00 Expedition for my wife and replaced the stock Expy wheels with L wheels. Everything bolted right up on the Expy, so I can't see why it wouldn't work in reverse.

If the expi wheels have a 12mm hole and the 2K L's have a 14mm hole, then, L wheels will fit and be loose by 2mm while the expi holes will be too small. If this is true, you may want to double check your fit of the L wheels on the expi. What's wierd is that I've heard that my 2K L has the expi rear end with the 9.75 rear gear. I'm confused. I guess I'll call Tirerack. Thanks everyone for the help.

yes, our trucks share the same 9.75" rear as the Expy. could be different wheel studs, though.

I've checked and rechecked the L wheels on my Expy...no problems. The are torqued properly with no issues so far.
