00' L might replace my rocket
I have a 98' CBR 900rr, stage one jet, filter kit, and two brothers exhaust sys. I haven't riden it since i bought my Lightning. I used to use the rr, when I had a need for speed. Really don't think I'll need it anymore.
Just need to tell people how happy I am with my L.
RR might be up for sale soon!

Heh, same thing here-
Sold my '98 CBR600 when I got the Lightning. Something about being able to go very, very fast and still drag along *stuff* with me is quite an experience. Enjoy your truck, I know I enjoy mine!

Heavyfoot- what color is your CBR? I'd LOVE to have a 'rocket', but I'm not old enough to get my motorcycle license. Out of curiousity, how much you think you'll be selling it for?

Finally...I meet an honest motorcycle guy!
I don't know how many times I've heard from owners that those things run high-9s, low-10s. I know they can certainly be modified to hit these times, but that is not _that_ common. I know when to call BS anyway, after running one down doing a 30-120.
I also see the times they run at the track, and would concur with what yours runs.
Still, that (high-10s) is incredibly fast, and I can only imagine what its like on a bike. Has to be like riding on a bullet.
Anyway, if you can afford it, I'd encourage you to keep it...especially since you have so few miles on it, its in mint condition, and you only ride it on nice days!
It's funny...my old daily driver is my '96 Cobra. I've put exactly 1500 miles on it this calendar year...like you I drive my L a lot (not a lot of miles, but I drive it more often than the others). But, the urge will always be there to ride your bike, especially after some of the "newness" of your L wears off.
I say they're both bad to the bone; why not keep the bike?
