Question about Eibach Hangers

On the eibach hangers, there are two holes for different heights. One is centered and one is offset. Does anyone know if the offset hole is supposed to point to the front or rear of the truck? They bolt on to both sides and kit came with no instructions. Thanks

Logically, I don't think that it much matters. The shackles will take up the slack either way. So unless there is something peculiar about the front eye . . .

Just looked under my truck and the lower holes are biased to the rear.
So maybe that moves the axle a little further back to keep the shaft out of the box a little to compensate for drop.

Nothing in the instructions either.
If you installing metco bars you will have fun hooking up the brackets to the lowering kit.
I had to carry out some cut & shut and weld into place to form a lowering bracket with the metco front link mounting welded in place.
Works well though.

The PITA was removing the stock hangers with a mini grinder & air chisel.

Good point. I did not consider that. But it sounds to me like you have your answer.

a easy way to remove the stock rivets holding the hangers on is to cut the head off, drill a hole in the center of the rivet and then pound it out with a hammer and chisel or whatever...

Well I can only add that I removed the rivet heads using a small air grinder with a cutting disc fitted.
Then just drove out the rivets using an air chisel.

Drilling the rivets insitu must be difficult unless you have a small angle drill.

i appreciate all the info on installing but, i should have added that i installed these about a year ago. I wanted to lower a little more and wasnt sure if I had the hangers on backwards or not. I have decided to fab up a cnotch, four link, and coilover setup. Has anyone done this and have any pics. I already have the parts in mind but anything would help. Thanks again.
