Well you know how threads tend to get off topic around here

Not a Gen II in a Gen I, but close.

Sorry to keep driving this thread off topic but how do the Gen1's stack up against the new X-runners, seems like a good match up

PSI Motorsports in Houston is doing one right now. The motor, minus blower and up, is in and looks good. It fits well, but will have some hood clearence issues to work through. They are considering modifying the k-member to lower the motor, but are still undecided. The motor does sit pretty far back.

They have a new 4r100 to install, next.

Eventually, it will use full Gen2 wiring harness and PCM. It's not a customer's, but an employee's truck so the process takes the back burner...

As was said above... and Sal you don't have to cut up the firewall to make it fit.

Wow this is good Info guys. After reading what Sal posted about the Gen 1 Lightning on a road course who the hell in there right mind would pay all that money for a Porsche 911. It takes a special driver to Race on a road course. I'll stick to straight line racing myself!
