Who's going to be first to bring a big boy blower to market? Whipple has teased us with the 3.3 KB has teased us with the 2.6. With so many "street trucks" running 10.4 and under, its only a matter of time and bringing these blowers to the table before we have a street truck in the nines.
Sooo, who's blower will power it?

The answer is KB.

Pretty easy actually since Whipple has no intent on making a 3.3 kit for the L.

I wish they did though so we wouldn't have had to fab up so much stuff for my 3.3.

VINNIE

BTW- check out the time on this post. I was destined to a 3.3 LOL

Well, KB will be the first consumer blower to the market...but if you get your truck running first, I'm going to say you'll have the first street truck in the nine! Is yours still going to be a driver Vin? I hope it stays a street truck and you don't go all out race truck!

We ARE working on a W200AX Lightning kit at this very time.

Also, to my knowledge, there is no 2.6 liter Opcon Autorotor supercharger. As previously, KB's first Lightning package was branded a 2.3 Liter. Our W140ax compressor or the Lysholm 2.3L both flowed a significant amount more air at the same input shaft speeds. The 2.3L KB flowed closer to a 2.1L. Now the 2.6L uses a 2.4L compressor so I'm not sure where the extra .2L is coming from. There is no doubt it will flow a significant amount more air than the 2.3L KB, but I think you'll see it closer to 2.4L. Our W200ax is a 3.3 liter compressor and will significantly increase airflow.

Thanks,
Dustin Whipple

Whipple needs a truck to test this unit on that goes to the track almost every weekend and already has a Whipple on it now for comparison

If they build it, I will buy. Waiting patiently for the 3.3 Whipple.
