Tranny Shriek??

I have been having this loud squealing emanating from between the rear of the oil pan and the conveter housing. Truck runs fine. More noticable at idle. Anyone have any such noise or related symtom? AT cruising speed I can't really hear it. I keep thinking something is rubbing ...but not sure if it could be and input/output shaft bearing..I change the tranny fluid and filter often and have no extrordinary amounts of metal on the magnet. The noise is coming from just behind the starter and inward abit. Listening thru a piece of rubber hose ..the starter does not seem to be the origin...No oil or fluid leaks out of the tranny converter housing inspection hole....guess I'll end up dropping the tranny and looking for something....
any ideas..thoughts....thanks

Check your converter bolts, if one comes loose it sounds like that, another thing that makes a sickening noise is if the balance weight on the converter breaks a weld and coms halfway off, with the un attached side hanging.
