Vibration on take off

I bought my truck with a rear 4" drop (2" hangers & 2" shackles) but the front of the truck is stock, so it sat about 1" & 1/2" lower in the rear end. I wanted to level out the rear end so I could pull my boat, so I put my stock hangers on and left 2" drop shackles on. This raised my rear end 2" & 1/2" and now the rear end sits 1" higher than the front end. Now my truck vibrates on take off and right when I let off the gas, it also fills like I am driving over small bumps at low speeds( like in a parking lot). My truck was hit in the rear end before I bought it. Do you think that the rear end is out of line with the drive shaft? Should I just drop it back down and forget about it? Any knowlege would be helpfull.

If your truck was set up correctly with the 4" drop, it shuold has pinion shims installed. These will have to come out and or be changed.

That was my guess improper pinion angle.

Thanks alot guys, that is the problem. What is the best way to get the shim out from under the leaf spring? I don't know how the bolt though the spring is attached to the axle tube. If anyone knows how to remove the shim that would be helpful. Thanks for the help

Try rotating the present shims 180 degrees. I lowered mine with 4" drop shackles, it did the same thing. Rotated the shims, wahla, no vibrations. Good as new. My experience.
