My truck doesnt even spin off the line and im only running 13.7s all night long I stress to anybody not to get a 2000 superchip until they figure out how to get more hp from the 2000 chip.Im returning this chip and I am going to buy a swanson chip or a psp chip.

LQ- Has anyone else on this board with a 2000L and a chip posted their e.t.'s? I don't seem to recall any. Before you jump on a Swanson or PSP unit, find out what theirs will do on a 2000L, not a 99. Also, you do not have a filter kit yet, do you?

What was the weather like. I have the Superchip. It's good for about .2 of a second off my ET. Here with the temp above 95 degrees, I can only run 14.1's with the chip. I'd say make some runs in the stock posistion to be sure it's the chip and not the weather.

Angry

From day 1 I have said that the chip does not perform as good as the ones for the 99s.The shift quality was better on the 2000 but not the performance.I am a little different from most of you.I have had a chipped 99 and a chipped 2000.I can definatly feel the difference. There is no way my truck should not be able to burn the tires.I only gained 2/10s consistent and I completly give the shifting characteristics ***ALL*** the credit for the gain! For me its time to try a different chip company. One that can make hps with the 2000s.

Thumbs up

Lightningquick,
I am not one to live by the "seat of the pants feel" and don't like to talk in those terms, but I can confidently say that installing the PSP chip has made a dramatic difference in the performance of my 2000. I have driven it only in 90-112 degree weather here in Phoenix since the install and the truck "feels" much stronger than it did stock with 60-70 degree weather. My best stock time was a 14.098 and I notice 2000 Trade-in has posted a 14.1 in this weather w/the superchip. There is no doubt in my mind that this truck will definitely run better than that--but how much, I don't have hard data for you yet.

2000-Trade-in,
Are you going to be at Firebird tomorrow for the hot rod show? I will be there from about 4-8pm. I believe the track will be closed, but maybe we could run the trucks once we leave Firebird and then post results.

Peter,

I'll probably head out there for a while. I won't be able to stay late though.
