...that wouldn't have helped...we blew by him in his "hiding place" really
"loud & fast" in a 40mph zone...but at least we got off with just a verbal warning so it all worked out OK.

I don't believe in any kind of radar detectors... I just think they are a waste of money.

maybe this was with older models, but I have had mine since xmas this passed year and it has payed for itself 5 times over already.
as for distance? How about over at least 3 miles picking up a PA statey shooting radar on 79 north. This is by far the greatest mod for a fast vehicle, I am sure others with Valentines would chime in and agree. Mine has never missed a single cop, But you cannot rely on just this because alot of the time cops wont just leave radar on, or they can just pace you.
anyway, good to hear you both got off with a warning.
