to Dallas01 regarding overcharging for L's in Texas

Yes $37,000 is a lot. In Calif. some dealers are asking $5,000 over MSRP
This is what I can do:
I have to sell at MSRP. which is $31,400. To ship from Calif. to your home in Texas has a shipping charge of $700.00. This dealership will eat $500 of the shipping charge and you will have to pay $200.00 making your total cost of the L $31,600.00.
This is a far better price than the $37,000 you were quoted.
I can get you financed thru Ford.
If you decided that you want the rims chromed, it has a cost to us of $550.00. Also to install Lo-Jack, this dealership sells the Lo-Jack to L owners for $395.00.
I have a black on the ground now and a red coming 6/15/00.
If this sounds good to you, e-mail me or you can call me. Let me know ASAP because the black just arrived and will go fast.
In some places in the country, dealerships are offering L's at a cost below sticker. When I went to purchase my L, I called some of those stores and I didn't get good feeling that if I ordered from them that I would ever get the truck. So I went out and purchased from a dealership in northern Calif. and the price that I paid (and I'm in the business) was MSRP.
I hope this helps.
