New additions to the truck

As if I haven't spent enough on the truck I just picked it up from the body shop. I finally had the Sir Mikes roll pan put on. I've had the roll pan in the garage for over two years now. Suprisingly the guy that fitted it said it took them 8 hours. I've heard horror stories about the Sir Mikes but I'm more than impressed. I guess it took a good body shop to get it right. I also had the front bumper cover fixed. The entire bottom and passenger side was scraped to hell. I also had them fill the license plate holes. They also painted my Street Scenes smooth wiper cowl and smooth bed and tailgate cap. Here's a few pictures.

What's up Dirtchicken,
Did they paint the tailgate latch too? Like the roll pan and can't wait to see pics of the bumper and wiper cowl. Which body shop did you go to? I need some work done and was looking for a referral.
Where's the car show Sunday? I'll come check it out!

I had the tail gate handle painted a while ago when I swapped my back window and had the trim painted. I went to Timmermans on Kapaa Quarry Road. The car show is at McKenna Ford in Kailua. There will be 9 or 10 Lightnings there. I'll be there.

I was wondering, do you like Black?? That's definitely what you call a Blacked out Lightning, i think you have the only one that's ALL the way Blacked out. But you do have it looking good!

Dirt,
First let me say thats a very gay stance you took to take the picture,

and please do something bout those Bony A$$ White Chicken Legs of your's
Ok enough fun, hehehehe
Dirt, it ALL looks Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat, Nice Job Bro
BLACK IS BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAUTIFUL BABY!!!!

Would someone please explain to me why it takes so may hours of work to make something fit that is suppose to be made for our application ????
I will never understand that ???? I dont think I've ever heard of one fitting straight out of the box. Ford doesnt sit there and custom fit each and every stock pan, so why does every aftermarket one have to be custom fitted ??? Is it simply the people making them dont know what they're doing, dont have good molds, WHAT ??? Why cant they create a consistant piece that fits the way it suppose too ??? The sides of our Truck are Fiberglass from the Cab back and I'm willing to bet my last breath of air Ford doesnt custom fit each and everyone of them...... (ok rant over)

They did an awesome job Dirt, and the truck looks HOT!!!

Thanks for the kind words guys. Rob, I've heard people spending twice the time to fit the roll pan so I got lucky. I believe I have one of the original ones that Justin@JDM was selling. I guess the newer ones had the ****ty end caps. Bill, your truck was one of the originals L that I was in love with. I wanted those Budniks sooooooo bad.

You still havent explained that stance

Your right Dirt, I've heard of people spending much longer on them, yours looks PERFECT so it was worth every minute they did spend on it
I just dont understand why an aftermarket Pan or Hood cant fit without custom fitting, (it's suppose to be made to fit the truck). I want to buy both but I wont give my truck to a body shop, (the pieces I would), so I guess I never unfortunately will have either

DC,
Your truck looks really good but for something that is supposed to be a bolt on, 8 hours from a professional shop IMO is really not acceptable. I still have the list of all things wrong with that pan that could have easily been rectified by SM which I did send to them. The cost of the kit at nearly $500 plus 8 hours to fit a simple pan bumper replacement does not make me feel lucky.
