Strange Clicking

Latley when I go in reverse and turn, a strange click come from the front drivers side of my truck. I think it is comming for the suspension but I am not sure. It also sometimes happens if I hit the brakes hard. Does anyone have an idea of what this is? How to fix it? How much it might cost to fix? I appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks,
Jon

You need clunk washers for the drivers front lower arm, also grease your steering stops.

Or you might want to check you brake rotor, My rotor got so thin that the ribs on the inside of the rotor was showing through alittle bit. and the brake pad would hit it and stick or (click) as you put it. Moslty when backing up because the rotor is traveling in the opposite direction from when it was wore down. So the ribs are more brittle on the back side of the worn area.

I know I know I know rotor should have never got that bad i'm a a$$ there i said it you guys don't have to.

Before you go and order the clunk washers, get under the truck and verify you need them - if the control arm doesn't show signs of moving around, it's probably something else causing the clunk.

Be aware, if you install the clunk washers, there is a good chance you will need to have the front end aligned afterward.
