Midpipe on a svtl?
Midpipe on a svtl?
Hey I was just wondering...is a X pipe for my 03 lightning even worth buying. I mean it looks as if the tubing goes straight into the muffler and straight out the outside...it seems like the stock design would be more efficient. What im getting at is, does anyone know if a X-pipe is worth buying?
X Pipe = Good
I dont have any science for you, (this is ME were talking about here)
But X Pipe is Da Schitt
Kind of hard to see mine (ok you cant see it, but its there hehehehe)

My set up is a bit differant, I have Custom Made PSP LT's w/ 3" Header Collectors going into PSP Custom Made 3" x 2-1/2" Hi-Flow Cats, then we used a small part of the Factory 2-1/2" pipes, then right behind the cross member there on the left side of that picture, there's an X Pipe and the Bassani Twin Stainless Steel Cat Back.
H and X pipes has always been an important part of any Hi-Performance Exhaust System, it's Performance and Efficient to balance out your Exhuast
from one side to another

an x pipe will draw spent gases from the next cylinder as an exhaust pulse is expelled a siphon effect or vacume will clean up the next, this helps insure a clean air/fule mix the next cycle. lets just say the x pipe sux
