this was my first time against the vipper motor dodge,and let me tell you it was no sloutch. first we went off a 30mph roll he shifted and pulled ahead then i just pulled on him half truck ahead then trafic. the next round from a standing start we both lost traction of the line nose to nose then i bit in and beat him by a truck length.then we had to slow down, i asked him if he moded and he said just a cold air kit and new exhaust,i have long block 8lb , ported eaton full exahust 500 to rear 589 tq on street tune psp built and tuned, 12.1 at 110.mph my best so far last year at jdm day, if that dodge had a turbo on it , or blower , i would have lost, but at least i won!

 

Wow! He must be able to really drive. Or thier was more mods then he was telling you. Don't get me wrong, thier beasts. but if your low 12s, and he is very lightly modded, no way he cept up to you that close. Unless your SVTL is not running right.

 

Probably has a new computer installed or a reflash as well. There is a good bit of extra power left on the table with the factory computer.

 

that is mighty impressive. never run better than 13.4 @107 with the same mods, have removed the cold air kit as I think it is a piece of junk. are you sure you didn't hear a paxton whine or anyting?
edit: the computer reflash really only works on the QC makes huge improvements in the auto. I had mine reflashed and it did nothing but ping.

 

the first 50ft i was almost side ways ,so i was not hooking, then when i did hook i passed him by a truck length, but then we had to stop for trafic, we did not even do the 1/8 mi if i had to gues.given more room to drive i would have taken him by more, my truck is runing excellent right now,and when i ran my 12.1 at e town last year my 60 ft time was 1.64 but that was at the track wiyh qtps and a good hook not on the street. i have the nittos on the back right now but i have to learn to launch with out a heavy foot.

 

Awesome times. Your MPH rocks for the E.T. Stock, I ran a 13.6 at 100mph, then after some mods, with just the canned Predator tune, I still only got up to 104mph on F1s. I have not been back to the track yet, but I bet I am close to 107mph now. 12.7-12.9s on DRs. Sucks about the reflash. You get that fixed?

To the poster, yea, if you only raced that short distance, then it sounds about right. be safe out thier though, and have fun too.

 

He had more than just exhaust & intake, no way a near stock SRT keeps up with a low 12's L.

That's what everyone says when they're asked what they have after a street race. "Just intake and exhaust"

fixed by putting the stock computer back in. My modding days are over with this truck expensive to mod and *****ty results. It's more of a cruser for me. I had an 01 Lighting with the normal chip/pulley/filer and I had an 03 cobra that JDM built with a kenne bell and every other mod they sell. I have accepted the fact that this truck will not be fast. I'm OK with that.

if they made a gen 3 but ford is screwing everyone out of that. would not buy another gen 2 after the srt. i know it is hard for everyone to believe but the srt is hands down the nicer truck. (nicer doesn't mean faster)
