Question Requesting some advice for larger tires???

I am wanting to change the tires on the L when I have my wheels redone. I have found some that I like but they are a 305x55-18. this roughly makes them about 3 inches taller than the current eagles and about .5 inch wider. What do you guys think about this, would it be a wise move? Here is the tire I am considering.

Here is the tire I am considering.

Thanks again, Eric

Nice make of tire. But in my opinion thats too much sidewall for a lightning, make that a 305/45-18 and we'll talk .

Plus, they will raise your effective gear ratio. 3" taller would be ~10%. With the stock 3.55 rear end gears the effective ratio would become 3.21 or there abouts. If you also went to 3.73 gears, the effective ratio would be 3.36. With 4.10's it would be ~3.69.
