Post Opinions On The Bassani Cat Pipe?

My exhaust is stock except for the mufflers. I replaced the stock muffler with dual 2 chamber Flowmasters. My truck is still quite at idle. I was wondering if installing the Bassani Cat pipe would increase the sound of my truck? I have heard that adding the Cat pipe makes the exhaust have a deeper tone. Does anyone know if this is true or not. Thanks, HANKFAN

HANKFAN,
I have the full Bassani system on my 99
Lightning. It is expensive but worth it I
believe in the long run. I have heard the way
to make power is to get the headers, high flow cats and pipes, the X pipe and use the
Lightning muffler with the original tail pipe. You can save some money this way I believe. But if your looking for that special
sound plus H.P. and 34 more ft/pounds of
torgue get the full kit. It makes the truck
more enjoyable to drive. It also lets people
know that your coming if your in the thottle
at all. That includes the local offisers who
hate you going that fast in thier town! Really
they will hear you before they see you. You
deside how much to spend. If you could here
my truck or anybody else that has the full
system, you will most likely buy it. It will
also outlast the truck. If you want tones to
play with(you'll find out) get the Full treetment. You won't regret it.
