Hey Ashenor,
Welcome to the show. I used scotchgard sucessfully, just don't get it on the black leather inserts. Liquids now just bead up.

When mine was new, my wife bought me 2 can of Scotchguard. I masked off the black inserts and sprayed the 'suade' and carpet real heavy in 2 coats. Works great.

BTW - I heard last week that 3M may pull Scotchguard from the market because of environmental concerns. Better get it while you can. I took a deep breath then sprayed for 30 seconds at a time. When I was done, I left it wide open in the driveway for the rest of the day to 'offgas'.

Mine was scotchgarded at the dealership. It gave them another excuse to mark it up more, but the stuff works. That cup holder in the console is way to big for a 12 can and I'm constantly slinging diet coke all over the place. I carry several towels on the carpet and I just wipe it up. So far no stains and truck is I year old this month. Good stuff.

I also utilized Scotchguard on the fabric portion of the seats and floor mats. Works great. BUT, due to environmental concerns, I don't breath while driving!

There is no need to Scotchgaurd them, it's done at the assembly plant, before the seats are installed.
