Poped a plug 3 weeks ago on my 01. Got it rethreaded fixed. Week later truck runs like s--t. Light gas its alright give it more and it boggs. Took it in to my mechanic he checked everthing. Fuel pressure, check, spark plugs, new wires, distributer and coil check. Fresh gas check. Diagnostics through computer nothing. I dont want to take it in to a dealer for price puposes, so does anyone have any ideas or had this happen to them. Could it be injecters? Rear end? Truck has 60 thou on it.
Thanks for any advice in advance.

I don’t know if they removed your head when they did the insert. But on my last L when I spit a plug and the dealer replaced the head. The gave the truck back to me and it was running like crap. Took it back 3 times, to another dealer, every friend I knew looked at it and we could not figure it out. Finally took it to PSP and Sal ran all his test that you described, nothing. He told me the only thing he could think it would be is the timing chain. Sure enough he took it apart and the chain was off 2 teeth on one side and 1 on the other. Got the truck back from him and it never ran better, too bad I sold it 2 days later

Did it run perfect AFTER the Time-Sert, or Heli-Coil, or Insert was put in ???
Either way I'd get out there and spend a good amount of time checking all the Connections. Vac Lines, Sensor's, etc.....
Bogging can also be in the tune, do you have a chip, did you add a chip, reflash the computer, anything like that ???
(Oh BTW)
Usually when a plug spits it takes a coil out with it, and usually hits the Fuel Rail.
Did you make sure the Fuel Rail is not damaged, bent, restricted, ???
