Starteds the L the other morn and heard what sounded like a metal spoon banging in a pot. Semm like it came from the front of engine. It lasted for about four seconds and hasn't returned. Any ideas?

Anyone/anything missing??? Wife/girlfriend, kids, pets, neighbors, tools etc.

But seriously, there is a chance that one of your chain tensioners didn't get oil pressure up right away, or worse you have a bearing going out and a rod is about to say goodbye. Sorry I can't offer better news. I would look for a tool of some kind left uner the hood that fell down and got whacked around, that has happened to me in my past life, not with the L, YET.:o

No tools and checked for anything on/around the fan right after. Truck is bone stock and never been raced. That just doesn't sound right for a Lightning does it. However it has spent its life towing a bass boat all over the country.
