I call BS on the 4000lbs last year. You had that gutted like like striped bass! I had my truck weigh in at 4500lbs with 1/4tank, and the only real weight removal was the hitch, and light weight wheels, spare and jack removed.

HI!... I've got a modded N/A 5.4 reg-cab, sb, ss and I've lightened it up quite a bit but no where near as the extent as johnny has. I weigh in at 3850LBS with me in it and I weigh 215LBS. I think your new tube chassised truck must weigh much, much less than you stated. If I installed a 4-link and a MUSTANG II front suspension in my truck I could easily drop another 350-400LBS.

Not sure if you're email is down or not? Tried calling your phone - it is constantly busy?

Please call me regarding the exchange 3:73 gears. I have been trying to get in touch with you for the past week. Return product already at your location (last Monday). Dan - 239 940 7917.

Sorry for posting here, but my patience has run out. You're probably off at some race event winning another trophy.

Thanks

D-Day

Exactly, try removing 500lbs off a truck. You'd gut it like a striped bass also! ;-) 500lbs is quite a bit of weight. Normally you can't remove weight w/o adding some back. Remove seats, add racing seats. Remove wheels, add racing wheels, etc. Then there is additional weight added above and beyond stock...roll bar, n20 bottles, reinforcement's to the chasis, etc.

Removing weight is like adding HP, it get's more difficult as you go.

possible numbers

with the truck this light and the horsepower this setup is capable with...is it safe to say this truck could be easily into the 8 second field?

From experience with two other guys that have completely lightened their trucks, 3820lbs without driver is about what you can get currently without tubing the frame. The first 200-300 lbs is easy the next 600 is not. I completely believe the number Johnny stated.
