Post Chip for Lightning

OK folks, bear with me on this. I am new to the site and this is my first Lightning. So far, I am having a blast with it. Dead Dodge's and Chevy's all over the road. I ordered a chip from Street and Performance in Little Rock, and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this particular brand of chip. I heard about PSP from 4D Thunder but I hate to pay twice, if what I got will work. And are the K & N filters as good as the ones they are selling throught PSP. Thanks and I am enjoying reading all the stories about our trucks.

Bearit,

I have both psp chip and filter and they work great. Have to say together they really woke the truck up. As for the other chip I know nothing about it. Hope this helps

Chris

Why purchase then ask, ask then purchase...

thanks dorgun 1 for the reply and usually that is the way it works, however in this case i originally bought the chip for my lariat and sent it back to street and performance for re-programing when i swapped for the lightning, which they did for no charge, so that is why i have this particular chip and would like to use it, rather than buy something else.

Interesting, I could be wrong but the SuperChip I have in my lightning is made only for the Lightning. Can't use it in any other F150 ( Not positive), It is has flip switch. stock - performance mode.

A Lightning running 11.99 has a SuperChip,
but the top 4 runners at St. Louie ran PSP chips, and Danny Swanson is getting a good rep.

Keep reading you will learn alot on F150online.

I have dealt with Street and Performance here in Little Rock. I have a chip for my '94 black Lightning, and their chip made the Hypertech chip look terrible. I was not aware they were doing new L chips, yet. They are good people. Basically, they probably just re-burned the existing chip (or just swapped it). They re-burned the one for my '94 three or four times.

I have also just gotten a 2000 L. No track times or modifications as of yet.

Cool

The one through PSP is a K&N style filter.

But the replacement K&N for ours is a panel type. The consensus is is that the stock filter box is the restriction, not the filter. Thats why everybody has been buying the modified one's like the ones pictured.
