Need expert help on puzzling stalling problem
I posted this initial problem a while back, and it still persists. Truck idles fine on start up and up to warm-up. After that when I stop for a light, she idles good for about 15 seconds, then suddenly stumbles and dies. If I put it in park, it won't die , but sounds like she's running on 5 cylinders. Real stumbily. On take-off she runs fine. Its just when its warmed up and stopped that she'll do this. So far I've changed the 02's, cleaned the CAI valve, and checked all vacuum hoses. Fuel filter was changed about 5000 miles ago.Its driving me nuts. Anyone have a clue?? Thanks.
Probably a long shot as I'm no mechanic, but here goes.
My car, Chevy Beretta, had a problem that sounds very similar to yours. After the car had warmed up (~15-20 min), it would studder and die when I came to a stop, just like the way a manual trans would do if you left it in 4th gear and stopped w/o pushing the clutch. The problem was a bad torque converter solenoid which prevented the TC from unlocking when coming to a stop.
With that said your problem sounds slightly different than mine. My car would start right up and idle fine in neutral, but as soon as I put it in drive again it would die.

You sure you IAC valve is working properly? Sounds like that's the problem, even though you cleaned it.
