asdeman has the belltech 3/4 drop from this site. The drop looks great and does not look too low for speed bumps and such. I ordered the bell tech 3/4 drop last week also from this site I have the 2" drop in the rear and am not happy, it just isnt low enough.

Cool

I am not a lightning owner, but lowered my truck 3/5 with no real problems, but you should probably change the shocks. Definitely on a non-Lightning truck, but the L's are about an inch lower than normal from the factory.

Also, the Roush lowering kit would be more performance oriented for your trucks. Uses 3" coils up front and 3.5" leafs in the rear (instead of shackles and hangers). Would help handling on the rear more than shackles and hangers and definitely be much easier to install. The Roush kit also comes with a great set of Bilstein shocks. It is a little more expensive at a little over 1K I think, but definitely worth the extra cash if you can swing it and don't need to go lower than that. You can check out the kit at http://www.pegasuscustom.com or http://www.roushracing.com

Exclamation

If you buy the full 3/4 inch kit, it comes with new nittro shocks. I would recommend the new shock, they are really stiff but they are excellent around corners. Sorry for not getting back with you Floyd it slipped my mine. I replaced the shocks myself and had a buddy replace the new hangers since I did not have the proper tools. It took him about 3 hours but he had complete access since the bed was off and both front fenders were completely off. I love the looks and it does help on your launching ability. One thing I would highly recommend is that you go with the highest setting on the rearend. The lowest sitting gives you a little droop look but the highest setting is killer and very aggressive.

Good Luck,
Terry

I ordered the full kit from the site here. Does that include the shocks, for the 330 or whatever it was?

I paid around $500.00 but it included all 4 shock replacements. I plan on keeping my old ones for backups. I was influenced by Roger to go with the Nittros with this kit.

Talking

Hi thanks for the reply. I used to have a ss-s10 with a 4/5 drop and i must say that was a little to low for michigan driving. Is a 3/4 kit going to scape my frame and front on stuff? I have a little angle in my driveway. My frame on my s10 looked liked it was polished heh. I don't want to have those probs with my new L. Can anyone give me a # for the rousch kit to so i can check that out? And if anyone is in Michigan where can i go to have this lowered, John R spring did my s10.

THanks

The Roush kit is on the http://www.pegasuscustom.com/ford_truck.htm page for 1091.00. I didn't think there was any major differences between the suspension components of the F150 and the Lightning. It would depend on how the factory made the L lower. Probably coil springs up front, so the 3 inch springs would probably only lower the L 2 inches more than stock (same as 3" for regular F150. The rear could also be different depending on how the factory lowered the rear the 1 inch.

I believe I have seen posts in the L forum where someone has (or was going to use the Roush kit on the L) and I know that ROUSHFAN1 used the kit to lower his F150. You might want to do a search in the Suspension forum to check his posts.
