Has anybody heard anything about a new truck or something like a lightning coming out this summer. A local dealer told me that they were going to be releaseing something that was more sportier or something like that?

Note to one's self...... NEVER believe ANYTHING a dealer has to say. They are paid to lie first, second and always.

(My apologies to any dealers on this forum that only tell the truth)

Yea I read something about a Saleen F150 in the latest truck trend. Its supposed to have like 354hp in the standard truck and I believe a 400hp supercharged version in the other one, but Im not 100% on those numbers. I also heard they are going to be really expensive and only a few are going to be built. There only available at Saleen dealers as well. I dont know if thats what that delaer was talking about but who knows.

Ford is also introducing the Adrenalin. It is an SVT Sport Trac. Here is the link: http://www.svt.ford.com/vehicleSportTrac.asp It will have 390hp with an AWD system. It is ment to be something to keep Lightning people happy until the new one comes out.

All you 'Ford high horsepower new truck hopefuls' need to do is let us know when the first new performance truck arrives at your local dealership, anything else is just a pipe dream...........ain't gonna happen. In case you haven't heard, there is a LIMITED supply of oil on this planet and we (USA) don't own/control it. You really believe Ford or any other manufacturer is going to go full on into high performance full size trucks any time soon?

But hey, this is just my cynical side.

Wow, deja vu . . . insert "cars" for "trucks" and that is exactly what my 8th grade Civics teacher told me in 1973.

I make sure to chirp the tires everytime I go past his house.
