Being a three day weekend I didn't expect a big turn out. If I didn't hate Memorial Day traffic coming home, I'd leave town myself. My Yamaha isn't real happy with me right now. :-)

Too hot (and busy) for me this week.

However, next Friday (June 2nd), the Hot Rod Power Tour will be stopping at Firebird. A friend of mine is joining the kick-off in California and heading across the country on the tour. I forgot to call Firebird today to see how it will be run next week, but I'll do so tomorrow and start a new post defining the event. Might be fun to see some different hot rods.

We'll be out there at 6:00PM If you go we'll find each other. I went my first time about 2 weeks ago. There was only one other Lightning out that night. I didn't know him but we talked and ran each other twice. Mine's silver, trust me, you can't miss these trucks.

Question

2000Trade-in,

What kind of times did you run on your first outing?

What kind of Yamaha do you have? Banshee? I've got a Banshee and wife has a Scrambler. We hit the Cinders and the Dunes. If you've got a Banshee you should meet us up there sometime.

Peter,

I ran a 14.105. I had a .953 RT on that run. That was my second run ever. I'm hoping I get a little better, and the truck gets a little stronger.

I'm on 2 wheels here. I have a WR400F. YZ timed, header, Vortip baffle. SOB eats rear tires like I eat potato chips! It's crazy fast! I've been wanting to do the dunes. I'll be going in the fall. I'll go with you sometime if you don't mind.

2000Trade-in,
Good time you ran, looks like its running good. Last time I ran a 14.251,14.100,14.098. The warm weather really hurts.

Sounds great! That be great to have you join us. I only go to the dunes and Cinders on the holiday weekends with a large group of people. We'll be in touch on that.
