Post Dual Mufflers

Hey all,
Installed two Bullet mufflers this weekend and the sound is great. One was center in/center out (passenger side) and one was center in/offset out(drivers side. Both were tacked together like this \\ in the original muffler location. Needed two double offset pipe fittings to make the whole thing work with the original tips. Cost: $85/muffler;$80 to install; total $250.00.

Sound is now very dependant on how much you push on the gas. Arround town with part throttle nice rumble, no drone at hi-way cruise, and when you stomp it sings a duet with the S/C.

The mufflers are polished stainless steel (almost too nice to hide) with a straight through design (you can see a straight shot even with the offset) they are about 16x8x4 dimensionally. Probably similar to the Dynomax/Eldebrock design.

The mufflers are available at Louisiana Muffler mart, www.lamuffler.com, and I got them hooked up at a local muffler guy-Lou's Custom Exhaust in Reading MA. What a great guy Lou is, fantastic neat job all lined up on the money.

I'm getting closer to making up for what I missed by not buying that '67 427 tripower Vette for $1500.00 30 years ago. I tried to tell my dad it would cost more not to buy it!

Thumbs up

I had basically the same thing done only I had the Walker Dynomax mufflers installed. Same discription on looks, sound & installation.

The mufflers were $90.00 each, $16.00 for the 2-double off set pipe fittings, $7.00 for hangers & $21.00 for labor.

I have pictures being developed of the installation process, if anyone is interested.

Old kid 00 red,
I would be intersted in those pics of the install. Did a private exhaust place do it or was it like Midas or Meineke? Thanks.

Weaver's Alignment, in Liberal, Kansasa did the work. Young man by the name of Todd. He is well known around this part on the country for his excellent work. He can do about anything you want from the cat's on back.

I can post pics when I get them back or e-mail them to you.

Labor also included installing Belltech lowering shackle's.
