Unhappy Please help!!!

I was getting on the highway today at about 3/4 throttle. The truck shifted into second and then bogged down hard. I let off the gas and continued driving. I got to a light and it stuck in third gear. I can manualy shift it into second, but not first. OD OFF doesn't do anything b/c it's stuck in third.

Any suggestions as it's my daily driver. 99L with LFP valve body.

Also, I just got a new exhaust with mid-pipes put on yesterday....no way it could have anything to do with that right???

Sounds like it could be the tranny control harness. Whether it got burned from the exhaust or they disconnected when doing the exhaust and did not fully plug it back in.

Called JDM to pick thier brains. They suggested a burnt harness or maybe a blown fuse.

To fat to get under my truck with out a lift. So I checked the fuse box and #24 was blown. The desription in the manual says "Power Train control Module,Automatic Transmition,CMS sensor" I thought this is too easy. I Borrowed the 15amp fuse from the fog lights and I'll be damned it worked. She's running like a monster again, but why would it just blow like that?

Could the exhaust change have anything to do with it?

Thanks, Jay at JDM

Mine was doing the same thing and blowing fuses, it turned out to be the two wires in the shifter had worn on the steering column and were shorting out. Does your OD light still go on and off?
