Talking Road Trip

Hey guys,

I got back from a great trip to L.A., now I will be heading back to Alaska, hopefully tommorrow, after the 10k mile tune-up. I read the posts, and it sure looks like one could fall behind quickly.

I also got pulled over on I-15, 85 in a 70. I knew he had me. my radar, made by 6th sense, wasn't working right. He stopped me, asked what I did for a living, got my info and told me to watch my speed.

I averaged 15.2 mpg on the way back, with the tonneau on, averaging 85, all the way here, with the occaisional run up to 120 (tacoma thought he was fast)

Remember my muffler problems? The dealer said they got new clamps and put them in, so I decided to look and what do I see? Coat hangers. They wired the muffler onto the cats! It looks really tacky, as if I did the job, but I would have tach-welded the muffler on (thanks FORDSALES). It'll come off in a week or so for the straight pipes anyways.

See ya when I get back home, or whenever I am at a computer for a while.

PS I talked to another Lightning owner from around here, and he may sign on (Red Lightning). A second owner (00 Red), just got his from a dealer, he's in my apartment complex, so I am sure he will be here soon. I have to get a Camara!
