Question Speaker sizes

I like the stereo setup in my L but I would like more bass. Has anyone put in a subwoofer and if so where? Also, what are the stock sizes of speakers?

A few of us have added subs.We have gone w/ the MTX Thunderform box, either loaded,or unloaded(I have two Rockford 10"s in mine),as for speaker size they are 5x7's in the doors and in the back of the cab.At least that's what I was told, and that's the size that are in there now !

Hitman,
You say you have 10's, are they behind the seat or what? Their is not a whole lot of room behind the seats.

TBL,
Wow, that is one heck of a setup. Where did you get that box for the subs. Also, did you have a 6 disc CD changer, if so where did you relocate it to?

Snake:

Box is made by MTX (www.MTXAUDIO.com).

6-disc changer is relocated under the l/side of the pass. seat. You can reach it while driving. A relatively large amp. will fit under the pass. seat as well.

the stock speakers are 6x8's (some companies make 5x7/6x8 interchangeable, both will fit)
there are several brands that have direct replacement speakers this size.. pioneer, polk, infinity, memphis, kenwood and clarion are just a few.. make sure to check speaker depth before buying any!!!
check around your area to see whats out there. also, look in a crutchfield magazine.

Hello all..

Does anyone know off hand what the maximum depth is for the speakers in the door and in the back pilar of the Lightning ?

I see some 6X8's with a depth of 2-5/16" will they fit ?

Much thanks..
