steig different port stages

steig different port stages

what is the differance in the differant porting packeges on the steig port job on the lightning?do you need a retune when you do this?

Different designs mostly in the outlet. He also has an option to weld a power fin in the inlet to help direct the air towards the rotors. The gained HP/TQ should supposedly be increasing with the higher stages but do a search and you find a lot of controversy on the realized gains vs. the promised gains. Check Stiegs web site for the (most recent) specific numbers. Keep in mind that to take full advantage of the port job you should probably install a 6 or 8# pulley. And yes you will need a retune as the A/F ratio change as a consequence of the port job.

From what I have seen, the best local track times came from blowers done in the Stage 2 time frame...

im pushing 15 lbs now,i just didnt want to buy a lot of show and no go.im deciding between this or a kenny bell and trying to see which one gives the best results for the money.

KB hands down.... besides, if you do the port now, you're just going to want the KB even more down the road.

I agree...as I have now gone to a KB. BUT...I loved my Stieg port/polished Eaton. I put down some great times on it.
