Question PSP vs. Airaid

Has anyone tried both the PSP and Airaid filter systems to compare?

If so, what is you input regarding performance, blower sound, etc., etc.?????

Question

Sorry, I reposted to send this through once again.

Has anyone used both the Airaid and PSP's filter?

Is there really any difference in performance, etc., etc.?

I have an Airaid. What I want to know is in the future when Sal catches up, is it worth the extra $$$$ to put Sal's in or is there so little difference, that it is not worth the extra $$$$$?

Thumbs up

Jim,
I have the Airraid kit.i purchased it over the psp cause sal is still backlogged. There really isnt much of a performance increase to speak of but....the supercharger really and i mean REALLY howls! From what everyone on this board seems to say,the best bang for the buck is the filter/chip combo-the PSP chip will arrive today and should be in this weekend..ill let you know what i find out...i saw your thinking about the 2" drop from your signature.Just had belltech shackles installed in 20 mins last night. The truck looks much better level.Definately a must if you cant afford a full suspension drop.As far as the gears..i have them on order...so maybe this weekend they will go in...i hope

ZorPrime

That is why I have an Airaid. Sal was to backed-up. You say that Sal's gives a greater howel than the Airaid?

Thanks for the info. regarding the 2" drop. I'll get that working.

Let me know what you think regarding the gear change.

Jim,
I dont know it if gives a better howl but i do know for a fact that sal had said in an earlier thread that at high rpm the rubber boot at the end of the K&N on the airraid created a disturbance which messed up the signal from the airflow sensor.i believe that the quality of the powerstack filter is much better than the K&N.Im gonna call the speed shop tomarrow to see if my gears arrived yet.If you do the drop shackles do the install yourself.Very Easy.

Later,
Rich
