BURP!!
Just wondering if anyone is having problems with their chip causing the L to BURP between shifts? Mine is and is causing the truck to loose boost. This I believe is slowing me down quite drastically. Is their a cure for this? The person who burned my chip will not answer me on this. I will be @ Rivercity Raceway this weekend with all 3 L's so I would like to know if anyone will make it.
Thanks in advance

I don't have a chip, but my L definately burps between WOT shifts...LOUD. I haven't watched the boost guage, yet, so I'm not sure if I'm losing any or not. I guess we'll find out. To the top!

I think you guys are referring to when the computer drops 4 cylinders before shifting.
I know Sal's chip fixes this and I'm not sure if any others do.
I think getting a chip is the only way around it. I doubt if Ford would reprogram it for you to not do that!

If you actually see the boost drop to ZERO, then you may be barely hitting the rev-limiter on the shift (you may not even hear it, though). From my understanding, if you hit the rev-limiter b/w shifts the PCM opens the bypass solenoid and boost drops to zero.
This happens occassionally to me, too, if I blow the tires through 1st gear. The revs climb so fast it bumps the rev-limiter on the shift, and I lose boost...and certainly it goes slower. Almost throws you into the steering wheel...its like hitting a wall.
You may need to have Superchips lower the shift point a tad, or raise the rev-limit rpm...the choice would be yours.
