ABS opinions
They do not work so well when you are already spinning and weigh atleast 6k pounds. It kept us on the road though. (luck)
They work pretty well in snow, atleast it did for me, what is trickier is trying to get the beast moving in fresh snow. Really need a light foot.
One thing I forgot to mention, if on a slippery surface, and entering a turn, get on the brakes early and smoothly before you begin to turn. I noticed the rear end like to come around sometimes. This happened to me a couple of times, but I caught it early enough to keep it very much under control, but late enough to notice the rear losing traction-sideways.

Thanks Tundra
Was it you who hit the moose with your truck. If so did the ABS help you avoid even more damage.
I ask because I have driven some vehicles with ABS and the system was very poor on those vehicles IMO. The Mustang Cobra's I think have very good ABS systems and I was wondering if the Lightning's was similar.

Yeah it was me, actually my friend was the one the drove into it. If we were on dry pavement, we still would have hit it, thats how close it was when it ran out on the highway. All we had time to do was steer hard left, and even then it was too late. I still think they work great, but just keep in mind, try to drive like you never have to use the ABS system. Thats why we were traveling at 50 mph, on a deserted highway.
I should be well on my journey back to Alaska this time next week. more 'bout that later...
