Talking CHEAP 16" FORD STEEL WHEELS FOR YOUR DRAG RADIALS

Found Ford new steel 16" wheels current truck bolt pattern to mount your 255/50R16 B F Goodrich drag radials on. $35.00 each. Call Mike and tell him Noel sent you at American Wheel and Tire, Hempstead Hwy at 610 in Houston. 713-682-1085. He can fix you up with the B F drag radials too as he is a Goodrich dealer. These tires have about a 26" diameter that when combined with our truck give you the equivalent of about a 382 rear end. Cheaper than putting in 373 gears and easy to change back. I can't wait for Friday nite at Lone Star.

corrected to 26" my best 60' on F-1s is 2.08 if I gain a .1 it's good; however, I believe the big benefit is that I will be able to power brake to a 1000 rpm launch, rather than launching at idle), which I believe will give me better reaction times. My avg last Friday nite was .65, some lower some higher, launching at idle rpm. We'll see.

Cool

That's a pretty cheap wheel, but I think you mean the diameter is ~26" which would make the gearing about ~3.82.

Good luck! I haven't had alot of success out of mine, same tire setup. Best 60' time has been a 1.97, and I've come real close to that with the F-1's.
