A fellow board member keeps getting this code. He has had problems getting state inspections for a couple years now because of the P1000 or P1001 code that you get when a full drive cycle hasn't been complete, and it only started happening when he got his predator. I used that same predator to pull codes on my truck one day then I started getting that same cycle code and couldn't get rid of it...in fact, I think I still have it and need to check because i'm do for inspection.

Now this new code appeared on his truck. Any info??

 

Corrupt PCM files.
1. Don't use that predator.
2. Contact Diablo.
3. Reprogram PCM.

 

Code P1639 Vehicle ID Block Not Programmed Or Corrupt (Ford)
2000 F150, 5.4L
I need some help with this P1639 code because my check engine light is on I will fail the California Smog Test with the light on. I can make it disappear by clearing it with my code reader, however when I turn the engine off and start, the check engine light is back on.

How can I solve this problem without going to the dealer? Anyone out there run into this problem before?
